Recap of our weekend

This weekend Zac and I initially started out our weekend with no special plans in mind. But it turned out to be a crazy busy, very exciting weekend.

Friday  night we decided to get supper together and rent movies. Since Zac helped the Jone's in the field during harvest, we haven't really been able to just hang out together at the house much. Saturday I ventured with my aunt Bobbi Jo and her family to Red Rock. She had recently asked me to take their family pictures for them. It turned out to be a super nice day, it was a bit chilly but since it was a little on the cloudy side the pictures turned out fabulous.

 I have recently found a new love for taking pictures, and find joy in doing it for families. Nothing I will ever do full time, I just like being able to have such a fun hobby. ( I will later post some of the pictures I took). After we spent the afternoon at Red Rock, my aunt and her family headed to grinnell to do supper and hang out at Zac and I's Place. W decided to eat at pagliahs (Sp) which is Zac and I's new favorite Pizza place here in Grinnell. We had a blast eating and observing aspen try and eat her new stage of gerber food. She is such a stitch, Her newest thing is to growl like a "Mean" baby. She wrinkles her nose and growls and then laughs hysterically at herself. Oh it really is the simple things is life, she could make you laugh for days with her cute personality. Then, we came back and lane got to play with his toys that stay and Zac and I's house. So, he was super thrilled  

Today my Sister called a little after lunch and said her and my aunt and grandma were coming to Grinnell to shop at maurices. My grandma likes us girls to go pick out a few things for xmas and then we head to the car while she secretly purchases a few things :-). It was super fun, she took us to Casa Margaritas for lunch here in grinnell. We laughed hysterically like always and decided that we are ALL going to go to wal mart for some black Friday shopping this year. It should be interesting with all of us there + no sleep+ TONS of crazy people. I also finished up all the thank yous from the wedding.. eeek I know it has taken me a couple months but with school and work It has been crazy trying to find time to sit down and do them.So my sincere apologies to everyone who hasn't received theirs yet. Hope everyone else had a fabulous weekend, Zac and I are ending ours by having chili for supper and making our xmas lists for our grandparents.

PS I am getting SO excited for the Holiday season... It also means that I will be graduating!! YAY!! 

This saying has been my daily inspiration lately. Things have been so busy lately, I am finishing up my last semester of school which has been everything but exciting. I am stressed beyond belief and absolutely can't wait for December to be here. Zac was asked by his employers to help with harvest this year, they have a TON of land and he has been working 14 hour days for almost two months now.( Sorry to be such a complainer, its just been crazy busy lately.) Meanwhile, I have been trying to job search, stay up with school and work part time. Wheew!! There have been a lot of fun things happening as well such as weddings, a weekend in Nebraska and an Upcoming Girls Weekend to Mall of America. I have the Memo above written in my planner, and glancing at it every once it a while reminds me that everything will all be okay as long as I keep moving forward. I also have been taking some family pictures for a couple people on the side. Hopefully I can get some of those pictures posted here soon. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Latest and Greatest

I just thought I would catch everyone up on the latest and greatest that has been happening over the past few months. So, I thought I would start with the place Zac and I are renting. There are some Pro's and then there are a few Con's

1- Positive- Our friendly neighbor. Who has 1 leg. Mows our yard every week, twice a week. He does this because he lost his wife a couple years back and riding the riding lawn mower is the only outdoor activity he can do. We love him to death but when you are in a hurry and he is outside.. Well... Lets just say we run for our cars.

2. I LOVE our hardwood floors, we have them all through house except the 3 bedrooms, and I LOVE that about our house.

Now on to the NEGATIVES

Nobody likes to do Laundry Right?- Right?. Okay so I think everyone would agree that doing laundry in 2.7 cubic Feet Washer tub would stink? yes, yes it would, and I am here to tell you that it Stinks REALLY REALLY bad because you can barely put 4 pairs of jeans in there at one time. 

This is our Washer, Dryer Combo. 

Please Let me tell you that the 4 pairs of jeans you can barely get into the washer... MUST dry In the Dryer for TWO hours.. not kidding TWO hours before they are dry. This is a daily frustration of mine and I DREAM of having a full size washer and dryer some day... ( Does this make me an old Married lady?) oh well its the simple things in life that mean the most.. like a full size Washer and Dryer.

My First Blog

So, Here I go, I have decided to join the bandwagon and start a blog of my own. I love being married and all the little things that go along with it so I thought what better way to share my journey of becoming a moorman, graduating college, finding a job etc. I am excited to get started and please bare with me through the rough patches.
