We couldn't be more ecstatic and are so excited to embark on this new journey. That being said It hasn't been the most elegant journey. We are feeling super blessed to be able to carry a baby of our own, but that doesn't mean that we have to pretend it's all roses and champagne. Kuddos to those of you who have elegant pregnancies.
Unfortunately, so far, that hasn't been me. I have morning sickness... All dayyyy long....morning, afternoon, and night; and it's not pretty. I generally wear my hair in a pony tail at least every other day if not every day and I accidentally wore black, brown, orange, and navy to work a couple weeks ago.
I looked like a hot mess express...
No joke..
Worst part was that I hadn't broke the news at work yet so people thought I was literally losing it...
This past week has been super exciting as we shared the news at work and with the rest of the world. It makes the experience 100 times more exciting to be able to publicly talk about it!!!!! We are so thrilled to meet our little peanut in April!!!
Moving on....
Harvest FINALLY started for us this week. Unfortunately it's not what we would usually call a "full swing" into harvest. We have lost an abundance of crops to flooding this year and are battling the rain yet again. Our fields are still pretty wet and we have to dry everything due to such a high moisture content. Zac is loving getting to be in the field even though it's been a bit rough.... (Side note: I think the brand new combine might be aiding in his upbeat demeanor)
Adding to my list of downfalls in life, I have been so sick and exhausted at night that I showered and headed to bed without ever taking Zac any supper earlier this week. Talk about worst wife EVER award. Fortunately we have family in town who were able to come to my rescue, and my loving husband never said another peep about it!
We had a wedding on Friday that Zac was in and it was so fun to get see our friends and take part of Stephen and Stacie's special day. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of Zac and I; which was totally fine with him. Saturday my sister and I had a spur of the moment sister day. I had really been wanting to get some DIY projects done around the house, but due to feeling so crummy hadn't accomplished them yet. My sister was such a trooper and was able to help me get so much accomplished. We of course had to run a couple "errands" to target, hobby lobby, and marshals!!! ooooppps! A day with my sister is always money well spent :)
Today I was able to regain my farmers wife title and ride with Zac in the combine. I took the boys lunch, drinks, and snacks this afternoon. I was able to ride for quite a while, which was a blessing all in itself. I am so blessed to have such a hard working husband. Thankfully the rain has held off for the guys to get some corn harvested today, they will run late tonight in hopes to finish a couple of our bigger fields before the next rain storm comes tomorrow and Tuesday.
I love riding during harvest, its such a mesmerizing experience.
I hope that all of you are having an amazing fall and always remembering the little things that mean the most. Everyday truly is a blessing.
Happy Fall Ya'll!!!!
xoxo
