Birthdays, Babies and Bonfires... HOORAHHHH

September has been a CRAZY busy month for us so far. First off it was my birthday. I can't say that I was super excited about turning 23. I feel as though just yesterday I was attending my High School Homecoming game, crazy how time flies. Much to my surprise, turning 23 wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I ended up having a FABULOUS Birthday Weekend and Birthday.

Zac's family threw me a "Birthday Bonfire" on Saturday night, and It was perfect. The weather was gorgeous and it was so peaceful to sit around the fire and roast marshmallows with great in-laws.

Then, Sunday my family had a big birthday bash from my sister and I since we are 5 years and 7 days apart, my mom always has a joint party for us and we LOVE that we get to celebrate together

Nothing beats having a sister for a best friend.. Love her to pieces!!!!

Of course little Miss Aspen came to help celebrate our Birthdays.. ohhh the many faces of Aspen..

This is what you get if you ask her to smile....

If you ask to see her teeth then you get the cutest little 18 month old grin :)

Monday was the actual day of my birthday and I thought for sure it would be lame and uneventful but, it turned out to be amazing.

I woke up to these beauties waiting for me... can you say best husband EVER award!!! I wanted to wear them to work but figured that might be a bit unprofessional. No worries they got worn shortly after my birthday... Love them and Love my husband for picking them out all on his own!!!

Next was flowers at work.. what better feeling than getting gorgeous fresh flowers at work? Loved Them!!!

They were HUGE Gerbera Daisies!!! My Favorite.

Zac made a special trip home on his lunch break to leave me a card and my favorite cupcake. I was so surprised when I got home from work.. Don't worry I devoured half of the cupcake and then was like hmmmm I should take a picture... Ha Ha.

Shortly after I devoured the cupcake Zac left for me, I heard the door bell ring.. SURPRISE. It was Sarah and Grandma Wanda with a BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!

Sarah is such a sweetheart, she brought candles and lighter, sang Happy Birthday and helped me blow all 23 candles out. Love her and her spunky little attitude :)

After all the Birthday fun was over the week went downhill from there. Tuesday my Great Grandma that lives in Oklahoma passed away. I didn't know her much growing up as a child because she lived so far away but it was still super sad. So, my grandparents, mom, aunt and uncle headed down for the funeral. I was put in charge of watching Bobbi Jo's rugrats... Boy oh Boy did we have a crazy day....

Here is the "wild child" in her pajamas

Needless to say Aspen didn't really care to sleep through the night and then she was up for the day around 5:45... eeekk.. Lets just say I was a walking Zombie on Saturday. Even though she is ornery it was a super fun and eventful day. She can always bring a smile to your face with her silly personality.

Have a great week, hope everyone is enjoying the Fabulous Fall weather!!!

XOXO

3 Day Weekend

Please let me start off by telling you how much I ENJOY 3 Day Weekends. I got SO much accomplished and it felt great. We didn't really doing anything spectacular but it was so relaxing and just what the doctor ordered.

First off we decided to rip up to sod that we had laid earlier this year as it was dead and hadn't rooted into the ground at all. We had someone come to our house and look at it and they basically said we were SOL. So we decided to RIP up all of it and then seed the whole yard. Boy was this a task.
Thank Goodness for a Hard Working Husband :)

I have never been SO EXCITED to see GRASS!!! YAYA we did good!!!

Next we had our first annual Danamere Farms Picnic, It was super nice to meet everyone in our neighborhood and see all the kids interact. The food was delicious!!!

Monday we decided to have a "LAZY DAY" and let me tell you it was AMAZING!!! ahhh I am not one who usually enjoys just laying around and not doing anything all day but it was fabulous and I felt so refreshed afterwards.

Sorry for the boring post, hope everyone else had a great 3 day weekend. Happy Hump Day!!!

Simple Life

Monday I spent the day back home in New Sharon. We took our all girls annual shopping trip on Sunday so I decided to take Monday to relax and spend the day with my family. My sister mom and I took Lane and the the boys my sister babysits( clay and Joel) to pella to the lookout tower in Pella. I remember going there when I was in elementary so we thought it would be super fun for the boys. Originally we were supposed to go to the pella pool for the day but since it was rather cold outside yesterday we decided this was a better option.

Here we are at the Look out Tower

Then we went to the park to play, needless to say big kids can still have fun at the park. :)

Saturday we celebrated my Uncle Mark's 30th Birthday and Aspen had a small accident while we were there. No worries she was still running, jumping, being crazy and acting like her usual self. She gets a full cast within the next week or so. Silly Girl almost gave everyone a heart attack. She truly is a Trooper.

It really is the simple things in life like spending time with family, enjoy every minute because in the blink of an eye everything can change. Life is a beautiful thing enjoy it in every way possible.

XOXO

Paige :)

Tiny Finger, Tiny Toes but a HUGE Heart

Yesterday I traveled to Iowa City to see a good friend of mine Emily and her new preemie baby Reagan Jean. Reagan was born at 22 weeks 4 days. She weighed 1lb 1/2 oz on Wednesday August 1st so, yesterday marked a very special day for her. Her ONE WEEK Birthday. It was so amazing to get to be there and see her progress but at the same time It was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I can't imagine not only what Reagan is going through but her parents Emily and Matt. They could use all the prayers they could get as Reagan is a fighter but has a long road ahead of her. She truly is a fighter, she kicks and squirms just like any normal baby, and although she looks  just like her daddy(Matt) she has the fighting heart of her mama.

Here is Reagan Jean taking a little nap when I first got there

While I was there Reagan had an Ultrasound of her Brain and she was such a tough little cowgirl :-)

Sorry the pictures aren't the best quality but Reagan has to be kept in the dark so no loud  noises, bright lights or flashes :) All I can say is that she truly is a miracle in the works, I have never seen something so touching. Matt ,Emily and Reagan are all fighters and I have no doubt that they wont make it through this with flying colors. All prayers are appreciated and if you want to follow Reagan's progress here is her own personal website that her mama updates daily :) http://reaganjean.blogspot.com/

Yesterday was an eye opening day, that the problems I face day to day are so small compared to what Reagan is going through on an hourly basis, she is truly a gift from god and opened my eyes to realize that life is full of trials and that we each need to be a fighter and show not only ourselves but god how strong we are. She truly is an inspiration and she is only 1 week old, I can only imagine what else God has in store for her tough little heart. :)

Long Overdue

Whew... this summer has been crazy BUSY here is a small recap of the little lately's of the Moormans :-) Please prepare yourself for this LONG post!! Sorry in advance!!!

First we celebrated our 1 year anniversary at our FAVORITE place, and where we had our first date!! Texas Roadhouse :-)

We had such a great night and it was fabulous to just take time the two of us and enjoy a sit down dinner

Next... My Little Brother is going to give me a HEART ATTACK!! Gah.. one week he wrecks his 4 wheeler and had his knee and elbow stitched up along with some terrible road rash on his back. Thank goodness he was okay. THEN two weeks later he broke His leg playing Varsity Baseball. I felt so bad and have never heard someone be in soo much pain :( poor kid..

Good thing he has an AWESOME sister to trace flames onto his cast for him :) He is doing much better now and has to have his cast changed every 2 weeks, he went back last week and now has a neon orange one that is waiting to have flames drawn on it now too :) SO thankful that he is okay and everything is healing properly.

He drew the template I just traced it on.. I have NO art skills HAHA

Next Up... Sarah's 4H Projects... SOOOOO FUN!!! :) This is Sarah's first year so she can't go to State Fair but she wanted to start the year with a bang and show everyone what she had LOL she is a pistol and so fun to be around she is a doll :)

First up we did two different types of flip flops with ribbons. Both turned out super cute and I had to make an extra pair of the ISU ones for myself :) woot woot

Then we did a magnetic Memo board with super cute magnets that we just took scrap book decals and hot glued magnets on the back of. Sarah's room is lime green, white and pink so we made the memo board to match, it took a TON of magnetic paint but after a LONG day it was Finally done and Turned out Adorable.

Next was my Favorite project of all. The crayon art project. We hot glued crayons to the top, let them dry then took the blow dryer to them and let them melt down the canvas, there were lots of "ooopps" that we thought weren't going to make it look good but all in all it turned out really cute and was super fun to do :)

Last but not leas the Fourth of July :)

Zac and His cousin Mason do family fireworks every year and they LOVE it, this year they spent wayyy too much money and went for the HUGE ones so they could try and do better than the carlisle fireworks LOL. They did a great job and they were super fun to watch and I am glad everyone survived and nobody got burnt or hurt!!

Gorgeous

Then I Judged the " Kiddy Parade" and it was so fun to see all the little kids in the community and all their creative ideas. The theme was "Hometown Heros"

BOATING!!!!

We went boating on the Forth and It was so FUN, going back to work the next day was not so fun since it was 100 degrees out we were all fried and exhausted but it was such a fun day that it made it totally worth it.

xoxo

Hope I didn't Bore anyone too terribly bad, have a great week and stay posted for our Vegas trip that we LOVED :)
