~Family Blood, Thick As It Comes~

This past weekend was a crazy one but fun-filled for sure. I am so grateful to have such a fun loving, easy going, crazy family.

Friday my family hosted a 50's Car Hop Night at the Dairy Creme. We have tried for years to convince my Grandma that this was a good idea and my sister finally convinced her this year. We were all beyond thrilled and don't let her fool you she enjoyed coming down and seeing us. She did although, leave town for the first half of the night. We love her to pieces either way, she just couldn't handle 3 generations of Morris blood running the Dairy Creme :) HA HA

My Grandpa was DELIGHTED to say the least. He absoultey loved ever minute of it. I can't express how important these little moments are. I have always been Grandpa's Little Girl and I can't imagine life without him. It was such a blessing to get to host 50's Car Hop Night with him :)
P.S 3 Generations of Morris Blood was INDEED a good time!!!!
We also had some extra spice from a special red headed friend who refused to take pictures :)
Having a sister to experience this with is a blessing but having a mom and a sister willing to be crazy, silly and adventurous is the BIGGEST blessing a girl could ask for. I love them both to pieces and the night wouldn't have been the same without them!!! :)

Thankfully, we made it through the night with NO catastrophes.
OH WAIT, NOT!!!
My mom found a little GREY hair on my head. Let's just say I had a LARGE meltdown but quickly recovered!!! :)
Saturday was full of festivities as it was Spring Festival in New Sharon. Lane and I ran the Jace Race and he SUCCESSFULLY completed his first 5k. I think I told him 100 times how proud I was of him. He was such a trooper and kept right up with mimi and I :)

Family really does create a circle of never ending love. So grateful for the family I have.
P.S. I LOVE this quote!!

I am so thankful to have been able to go home and spend the weekend with my family and friends. Thank you to everyone who helped and came out to 50's Car Hop Night. We greatly appreciated it and hope to talk Grandma Into doing it again :)

Blessings

As many farmers have experienced this year; we have also had a fair share of flooding. Although flooding of freshly planted farm ground can be frustrating and discouraging we were more than grateful to still have a house and land to call our own. I can't imagine what Oklahoma is going through and it really put things into perspective when Zac and I were keeping the Flood gate this weekend at the farm. We were discussing how sad it was to think that just a couple weeks ago we were riding in the tractor planting crops in these fields that now look like a small lake. We simultaneously looked at each other and were like oh my gosh just imagine what it would be like living in Oklahoma. Their houses, school, and children were there one day and gone the next. I can't imagine how they feel and we are truly blessed to still have what we have; flooding or not. Life will go on and we are all safe and sound. So, here are some pictures of our fun, scary and crazy adventure to check the flood gates this weekend. The goal this past spring was to level out the top of the levy so it would be easier to go and check the flood gates if it did happen to flood. Well, needless to say one thing led to another and we didn't get it completed so, our adventure was interesting and I even had to get off the Ranger at times for Zac to maneuver it like a "Pro" as he would say :)

This is one of our corn fields, looking like a small lake!!!

The current of the water uprooted a few trees and this is what was left when the water levels started to drop!!

This is near our flood gate

This is one of Zac's "Pro" times while trying not to fall into the water off the levy :)

Hope you are all staying  dry and warm. Count your blessings and enjoy summer :)

Sunday Fun-Day

Yesterday ( Sunday) I made a quick day trip back to New Sharon. First, I hit up the flea market with some of my girlfriends and baby Tripp ( cue baby fever) Then, I had a quick lunch at the Dairy Creme before heading over to see aspen and lanes new puppy "CY" short for Cyclones. My brother turns the big 16 next weekend so we of course had to take his truck for a little spin. It was so nice to be able to spend such a gorgeous day with such awesome people. Loved being home even though it was a short trip.

Here are some pictures of the Sunday Fun-Day activities

Have a great week and enjoy the weather

Spring has sprung

Spring is finally here, hallelujah!!! Planting season is in full swing and Zac is enjoying every second of it. He really enjoys the time that he gets to spend with his grandpa and cherishes the memories that are being made. Thankfully this weekend I didn't have a whole lot on my agenda so I was able to ride along both Saturday and Sunday. I cheated and went out with the girls on Friday night, but every farmers wife knows that the first few days in the field can be stressful so it was probably best I let them work all the kinks out before I rode along. Needless to say it was a great first weekend of spring weather and I can't wait for many more to come. I was able to snap a few pictures while in the field with Zac the past few days.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine!!!

~ Catch Up ~

I am BACK. I think. Life has been a bit of crazy busy lately for us I will try to recap the big things that have happened lately and I hope to get back into the swing of blogging. Here it goes.

- Zac has been traveling more and more for work which is great for him but not fun for me as I HATE to stay at home alone.

- I LOVE my job more and more each day and can't wait to see what the future holds for me as a teacher. I am so grateful to have been able to make this BIG life change and chose a different path. It is defiantly the path that I feel has been chosen for me.

- Aspen turned two and WOWZA is she crazy. One day I said to her that she looked like she fell off the crazy train so now she always says "Paige on the crazy train", she has also learned the difference between a "normal" phone and an I-phone. She knows that she can face time me on an I phone so watch out she is always on the hunt for an I phone. She was thoroughly disappointed when her fake I-phone wouldn't face time people.

- Lane has been doing awesome in his little basketball league  It is so crazy to think how much he has grown up. I accidentally gave him a kiss and a hug at this tournament a few weekends ago and he was SOOO embarrassed and mad. He explained to me later that he still loved me but that I can't kiss him in front of his teammates ha ha Whoooops.

- I am SUPER SUPER excited for the upcoming wedding season. We have a calender full of weddings this summer/fall and I am more than excited to be in two of them. I love the feeling of weddings and all the excitement that comes along with it.

-Unfortunately life has been busy for many on our friends and I am hoping once summer hits our schedules will mesh better allowing us to do more couple things but for now we have been perfectly content spending date night just the two of us :)

-Last, Zac and I have been trying... key word trying to eat healthier. I have been doing more and more shopping at trader joes buying organic foods and home grown eggs and vegetables from a guy I work with who has his own chickens etc.

Okay, I will stop babbling on. Life is great and I am so so so GRATEFUL to be on spring break right now. Makes me feel like a kid again and I LOVED being able to meet Zac for Lunch today. Now, heres to hoping that mother nature sends some WARMER weather our way!!!

The end of 2012, and the beginning of 2013

I am a little late on my Christmas year end post but this is the first free time I have had since break started. I have absolutely loved spending a ton of time with our family and friends. We truly are blessed and we couldn't ask to be surround by better people in life. So this year was our first Christmas in our new house which I was super excited.

First we started Christmas Eve off with the Annual Gingerbread House Competition. Zac and I usually compete against each-other but this year we decided to work as a team and I must say it turned out pretty darn cute!!!

I was SO excited to wake up in our new house on Christmas morning and start new traditions of our own.

Please don't judge, we literally rolled out of bed and I begged Zac to unwrap!!!

Stockings!!!! My FAVORITE part

Zac was trying really hard to be as excited as I was :)

THEN, he was super excited when he opened his gift from me and saw it was a loaf of bread NOT!! HA HA so I told him to go ahead and look inside the loaf of bread and then he was a happy camper again.
Needless to say we had a fabulous Christmas and were spoiled by each other  and our families as always BUT most of all we were spoiled with love and compassion as we made LOTS of memories with each of our families.

.......2013....
We rented a Limo for NYE with some of our close friends. It was nice to get together and ring in the New Year together!!!

Here is the start of the night in the Limo

The BOYS had to have a pee break so us girls decided to take our picture in front of our ride for the night!!!

The boys were being silly in the front of the limo... TYPICAL!!!

Midnight photo at Wellmans, ringing in the New Year :)

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year; Here is to health and happiness in 2013. I wish you all the best!!

XOXO
