Things I have learned while living in Carlisle

~ I discovered that the famous Septuplets live in good ole' Carlisle Iowa!!! I drive by their mansion of a house all the time and never even knew it.

Can you imagine have SEVEN teenagers at once? EEEK....

~ When it snows, and you are currently living in the country... your tiny little Pontiac G6 will NOT be able to get you to work.... sigh... I never lived in the country growing up so seeing how bad the roads drift when it snows was CRAZY to me. Needless to say my loving husband had to take me to work on Tuesday because my tiny little car couldn't handle the country roads.. Time to get an SUV? I think so..

~ I thought my Grandparents having an ice cream shop that was open through the summer was bad enough for my weight and terrible ice cream addiction. When we decided to move I will admit I was worried about how I would fulfill my ice cream fixes. No worries though because Carlisle has its own little ice cream shop called FIZZ. It will NEVER beat the Dairy Creme Ice cream BUT it has become my new addiction since it is the only option. They have frozen yogurt and cookie dough blizzards YUM. The worst part is that it is right next to Casey's which i drive by everyday to get to and from work... YIKES... I may need to get a gym membership...

Living in Carlisle has been a HUGE change for me,but I can honestly say I have been adjusting pretty well.
 I am very thankful to have such a supporting husband and I am so grateful to have a good Job here in Des Moines. Life is full of changes and suprises and without Zac I would never take any risks, as much as I miss being close to my family I am so happy we decided to make the move to Carlisle and start a new chapter of our life together.
